We are pleased to welcome Berlin based artist and curator Robert Seidel to present the New York premiere of Fractured Gestures, a program of 16 video works he curated last year for Haus der elektronischen Künste in Basel, Switzerland.

“The artistic positions presented in Fractured Gestures are exploring non-representational images with a focus on organic markings within the digital. By breaking frontiers between an abstracted reality and artificial creation, they reflect on the inner workings of digital tools. The eclectic conceptual friction points range from motion capturing over face detection to cinematic aggregations and speculative physical simulation. Their dissolving traces of natural motion still can be deciphered and form an uncanny as well as aesthetically sublimation of our accelerated world.” – Robert Seidel

Seidel will be in attendance and available for Q&A following the screening
