\nMicroscope Gallery is very pleased to announce our participation in\u00a0Bushwick Armory Night<\/strong>\u00a0from 6-10PM on the evening of March 9th along with more than 30 other area galleries. For the occasion, we\u00a0are hosting a special reception with the artist for our current exhibition\u00a0ROBOTS: paintings by Amos Poe<\/strong><\/span><\/a>. A film by the artist will also be projected outside throughout the night. We hope you will join us.<\/span>

\nROBOTS<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u00a0is a solo exhibition of new paintings by\u00a0No Wave Cinema<\/em>\u00a0pioneer Amos Poe.\u00a0The exhibition\u00a0marks Poe\u2019s painting debut and is also the first time the artist \u2013 whose early film works were most recently featured at \u201cCome Closer: Art Around the Bowery, 1969-1989\u201d at the New Museum \u2013 has exhibited his artworks in the United States.\u00a0The black and white acrylic paintings\u00a0<\/strong>were inspired\u00a0<\/strong>by a week of strangely provoking robot dreams and Poe\u2019s resulting reflections on intelligent technology.<\/span>
