With Hydrargyrum Kallal will transform the white walls of the gallery, which we have kept empty for the night, with her looping 16 mm films, cycling at different speeds to create a flow of patterns and motifs that alternatively disintegrate, reconfigure and synchronize with each other. The films combine both digital animation produced by computer with traditional analog animation techniques. Kallal will perform live sound using modular synthesizers and percussion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Kallal\u2019s work in the <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2012\/06\/29\/arts\/design\/rose-kallal-start-begin-feel-again.html?_r=0\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">NYTimes<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<strong><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; &#8211;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Rose Kallal is a NYC based 16mm film and sound artist. Her installations and performances have been presented internationally at venues and galleries that include, Participant Inc., \u00a0MoMA PS1, Ramiken Crucible Gallery, Spike Island Art Center (Bristol, UK),\u00a0The Paradiso\/Sonic Acts Festival (Amsterdam, NL)\u00a0and Museum of Contemporary Art of Bologna, Italy.
