\nUCHRONIA: A Film Reading<\/strong><\/span>

Microscope is pleased to present, in partnership with apexart, “UCHRONIA: A Film Reading” by Azin Feizabadi.<\/span><\/p>\n German-Iranian filmmaker Azin Feizabadi will perform a Film Reading that stages his forthcoming film as an intimate lecture-performance. In this performance, Feizabadi will read from the script of UCHRONIA<\/em> while screening selected scenes, sounds, and passages from the film. <\/span><\/p>\n A contemporary interpretation of the ancient middle eastern love saga of Layla & Majnun, UCHRONIA<\/em> depicts two disembodied, Dark Matter aliens emigrating from the furthest a parts of the universe to planet 52\u00b0N,13\u00b0E: Berlin in Germany. Earth offers the opportunity to incarnate into human bodies, dangling the promise of finally realizing the union they have traveled so far to achieve. \nAzin Feizabadi<\/strong> is an iranian born, Berlin based filmmaker and visual artist. He has exhibited, screened and staged his work at The Guggenheim Museum NYC, Sharjah Biennial UAE, Queens Museum NYC, Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, Theater am Marienbad Freiburg, Poznan Biennial Poland, Museum Ostwall Dortmund U, Optica centre d’art contemporain Montreal, Framer Framed Amsterdam, ICA London; among many others. His filmography includes works such the feature length videofilm CRYPTOMNESIA, premiered in 2014 at RWE Kino Museum Ostwall Dortmund; the short film CONFERENCE OF THE BIRDS, premiered in 2012 at Berlinale Forum Expanded and THE NEGOTIATION (in collaboration with Kaya Behkalam) that premiered at House of World Cultures Berlin in 2010.<\/span><\/p>\n
